The department has a master's program for the undergraduate department and the graduate school, and students can apply for a master's degree for five years during the university period. The educational purpose of establishing the Department of Chemical Engineering and Materials Engineering is to cultivate chemical engineering and materials engineering professionals with theory and practice.

The educational philosophy of this department is to strengthen the fundamental theories and practices of chemical engineering and material engineering for students and to have chemical engineering and material engineering professionals dedicated to their work and engineering ethics.

Teaching Characteristics 教學特色

The school-running characteristics of this department will focus on cultivating excellent talents in polymers and materials, bioengineering, precision manufacturing, energy and green industries, and papermaking technology, which is in line with the trend of the times. Among them, papermaking and ceramics technology is a unique characteristic of Taiwan. It has cultivated many middle and high-level executive talents for Taiwan and Asia and is a leader in papermaking and ceramics-related industries.
