Introduction 學系介紹
The educational system of the department is divided into bachelor and graduate courses, and there is also a combination design for bachelor and graduate curriculum. The goal of the bachelor education is to help students "learn the profession of helping others, explore themselves, understand how to interact with clients, families and the society".
We cultivate social welfare professionals. After graduation, students will possess the qualifications for the social worker license examination. The master's program focuses on cultivating advanced abilities such as social work, social welfare administration, and policy planning, so that students might have the ability to operate and manage social welfare institutions, so as to cultivate diversified, comprehensive social welfare and social work professionals.
Teaching Characteristics 教學特色
The teaching and research field of the department is centered on children, adolescents, women and family welfare policies and services. In line with the country's development of elderly welfare policy, we deploy resources to explore their needs and collaborate with intuitions to find out how to deliver efficiency of service. The department is moving towards three goals as follow:
- Professional education that conforms to the trend of social change and meets the needs of social welfare practice.
- Cultivating practical and management talents for social welfare work.
- Promoting the development of social welfare and academic contribution.

The courses are: Special Education, Interview Skills, Child Welfare Services, Youth Welfare Services, Elderly Welfare Services, Parents Education and Family Dynamics, Child and Adolescent Development, Domestic Violence Prevention, School Social Work, Medical Social Work, Welfare Services for the Disabled, Women Welfare Service, International Social Work, Psychiatric and Mental Health Social Work, Gender and Family Care, Social Work Intervention Practice, Social Work Theories, and Social Work Ethics. - Social Welfare Policy and Organizational Management:

Scholarships 獎學金
The department offers NTD$10,000 scholarship for one student.
Cooperation Project 實習與產學合作
Students are required to participate in at least 400 hours of internship.
