Introduction 學系介紹
The founder of the Department of Chinese Drama, the first department of Chinese Culture University, is Zhang Qi-yun(張其昀), who devotes to carry forward Chinese quintessence and Improve the academic research spirit of Chinese opera. The department combines traditional theatrical elements such as Chinese opera singing and traditional physical performances, with Western contemporary theatre training of directors and screenwriters. Its objective is to cultivate comprehensive theater artists who are capable of merging Chinese and Western cultures.
The Department proposes the one of a kind theater teaching system in Taiwan, because the consideration is given to both inheriting tradition Chinese drama and adapting to the situation of current theater market.

Scholarships 獎學金
The "Liao Ping-Chang Scholarship for Needy Students" awards 1 to 3 students each academic year, with each recipient receiving 30,000 NT dollars.
