The former name of the Department of Labor and Human Resources was the Department of Labor Relations, which was establish in 1965 and is the first university department in the field of labor studies in Taiwan. In 2019 it was later renamed the current name.
For a long time, the Department of Labor and Human Resources has developed both bachelor and master programs, covering the complete theoretical framework and practical application in teaching and researching. It also has closed relations with the government, enterprises, social unions and cultivated many outstanding graduates for the society.
Teaching Characteristics 教學特色
- This department has bachelor and master programs, covering the courses of complete basic theory and practical application. At the same time, it has a combined program of BA-MA that students can get both degrees after five-years study.
- The program structure is mainly employment-oriented, including three majors and cross-domain within: labor relations, human resources, occupational safety and health management.
- The teaching course focuses on both theory and practice learning, including lectures, group report, practical exercises, off-campus visits, practical trainers, international migration learning, professional certificate training, etc.

Before graduation, students can obtain the qualifications for the national exam of the Level B technician for occupational safety and health management of the Ministry of Labor.

Cooperation Project 實習與產學合作
- At the third summer vacation, students must be experienced in practical exercises for at least 200 hours in enterprises, labor unions or public services, such as: Ministry of Labor, Labor Affairs Bureau, Office of Labor Inspection, Chinese Human Resource Management Association, Taiwan Confederation of Trade Unions, TPWU, Association of Industrial Relation, AVerMedia, Sanlih Entertainment Television, YOU NEEDS Consultant Co., Ltd. , Taipei Municipal Wanfang Hospital, President Securities Corporation, MedFirst, Test Rite, Grape King Bio Ltd, 104 Corporation, Farglory Land, Gamania Digital Entertainment.
- Teachers also will help students to apply for long-term and paid occupation of the practical exercise units, such as: PricewaterhouseCoopers Taiwan, Ceci Engineering Consultants, Swire Group.
- Cooperate with the Chinese Human Resource Management Association, Chinese Labor Education Association, and the School of Continuing Education Chinese Culture University to handle professional certification training classes.
